Cherry Love - Bics n Ballpoints by 6re9 Cherry Love - Bics n Ballpoints by 6re9
I used my favourite red and black Bics with a few other coloured ballpoints from Ryman. The picture is about A4 size on Extra Smooth Bristol Board paper.

Speechless work:jawdrop:.

I love how realistic your drawing is especially for the ballpoint pen:love:. The shading is wonderful, I love how you blend the shadow to the midtone and the midtone to the highlights to create some amazing form along with how you blend the colors on the cherry stem. The cross hatch technique for the shadow under these cherries are very creative. Also, I love the reflections of the stems on the cherry and the water drops are just lovely:faint:.

You are so talented with the Bic pens that I can't stop looking at your work, Keep up the artiful work:iconclapplz: :iconlvlvplz:.

Amazing what you've done with a writing instrument; there are spray-fixes with UV protection. Since this type of ink will fade you might check into it. Krylon and Blair make them. Test from different distances on something that you don't care about. One light coat and dry for 10 minutes should be enough for a second coat applied heavier. Experimenting to find the right procedure is worth keeping them dark and bright as when you first made them. The more build-up of ink or less porous the paper will mean being very careful...:sun:
